Qbabies are small box children that first appear in BYE-BYE BOXBOY! and later appear with a redesigned appearance in BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!.
Physical Appearance
BYE-BYE BOXBOY!
Qbabies look similar to Qbby, however they are slightly smaller with little gray cheeks. Qbabies also have the back corner of their heads colored, ranging from either red, orange, blue or purple. The color depends on which planet they are from.
BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!
Qbabies receive a visual overhaul in this game. Instead of having the back corners of their heads colored, Qbabies now have colored cheeks. Instead of there only being four possible colors, the Qbabies have multiple different possible colors. It is highly possible that Qbabies are the younger, child versions of boxes, and that they lose their cheeks once they get older.[1]
Games
BYE-BYE BOXBOY!
The Qbabies debut in BYE-BYE BOXBOY! as NPCs that need to be rescued and brought to the end of the level. They follow Qbby as he progresses through each stage. The Qbabies can jump over small gaps and steps, as well as ride boxes spawned by Qbby.
BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!
The Qbabies return in BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!, albeit with an altered appearance. These Qbabies do not reside on individual planets; rather, they live on the Box Planet. Unlike in BYE-BYE BOXBOY!, the Qbabies do not show up in levels; instead, they appear in the game's storyline as NPCs, such as Box Baby.
Trivia
- Not much is known about every individual Qbaby besides Box Baby.
- A Qbaby shown on the logo and title screen of BYE-BYE BOXBOY! with the back corner of his head colored purple does not appear anywhere else in the game, unlike the other Qbabies shown in the logo.
