The shop is a place where the player can exchange their medals for a variety of things, change their visual, and other things.
BOXBOY!
In BOXBOY!, the shop sells costumes, the game's original soundtrack (each track is sold individually), challenge stages (Time Attack and Score Attack), and tip books.
BOXBOXBOY!
In BOXBOXBOY!, the shop is similar to BOXBOY!'s, but the "Tips and Tricks" section is removed, since all of them are already unlocked and can be viewed on the pause menu, and short comics were added to the shop. Time Attack and Score Attack were completely removed, and were instead replaced with WORLD-CW, a free unlockable challenge world in which Qbby must complete a level using a special costume.
BYE-BYE BOXBOY!
The shop once again returns in BYE-BYE BOXBOY!, with more new costumes to unlock with medals or Amiibo, comics and songs. Challenge Stages returned in this game, this time being fairly short levels that have to be completed without jumping, using the Up Hook, etc.
BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!
The shop in BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL! has a completely revamped layout and payment system, using both Medals and Target Medals instead of just Medals. Instead of paying for costumes directly, accessories are drawn randomly from the Dress-up Box for 30 Target Medals. This game also introduces assist items.
