Qbby is the main protagonist and only playable character in BOXBOY!.
Physical Appearance
Qbby is a small square box with two eyes and two legs.
Games
BOXBOY!
Qbby has the power to create more blocks around him, though the number he can create depends on the certain stage he is in. The Wizard costume can increase his box limit, but no costume can decrease it.
BOXBOXBOY!
The same applies for the second installment in the series, except that Qbby can create two sets of boxes. The box limit now applies to both sets (not combined) as well. If save data is found from BOXBOY! and the user unlocked it, the Wizard costume still works.
BYE-BYE BOXBOY!
Qbby can create one set of boxes, as per the first game. All rules from the original apply, except that in certain levels Qbby can be granted special abilities that allow his boxes to perform helpful actions. If save data is found from BOXBOY! and the user unlocked it, the Wizard costume still works.
BOXBOY! + BOXGIRL!
All rules from the original apply.
In the Kirby series
Qbby appears as a collectible sticker in Kirby: Planet Robobot. Qbby also makes a small cameo in Kirby Star Allies; One of the possible forms Kirby can take with the Stone ability shows Qbby sitting on the HAL Laboratory's Yamanashi R&D Center next to Mt. Fuji.
In the Nintendo Badge Arcade series
Qbby makes an appearance in all six of the BOXBOY! sets available in Nintendo Badge Arcade.
In Part Time UFO
Qbby makes cameos in Part Time UFO.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Qbby appears as a Support spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Equipping this spirit gives players an Ore Club in battle.
Trivia
- Qbby is a cube, not a square.[1]
- In one of the unlockable comics in BYE-BYE BOXBOY!, Qbby is seen wearing Robobot Armor. This is a reference to Kirby: Planet Robobot.
